FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

CONGRATULATIONS to our Startup Story finalists…

  • Osare Tasmania
  • Mr Brown & Towns Mushroom Garden
  • The Distillers Institute
  • e-RAW
  • Miss G & Me

Finalists will participate in an interview with our judging panel and a winner will be announced next week. The winner will then commence work a professional film maker and their promotional video will be premiered at our Christmas Cocktail event in December.

We are looking for a great Tasmanian startup story.

What makes a good story? Check out Nancy Duarte’s Ted Talk on the Secret Structure of Great Talks and Startup Tasmania Committee’s analysis of her storytelling model on our recent podcast.

Shining a light on the quiet achievers

They’re the hidden heroes in the Tasmanian startup ecosystem, the businesses that have developed and implemented a solution and have worked (or are still working) their way through the ‘valley of death’ to achieve scale. We know how hard it is and we want to recognise your achievement and inspire those just starting out on the journey.

So, tell us your story.

Tell us how you navigated your way to where you are today; the tough decisions, the lucky breaks and the serendipitous collaborations. The winning story will be transformed into a professional film clip prepared by Jane Davis, producer and Director of FoundHER, a feature length documentary celebrating female founders.

Finalists will be recognised and the winning story will be premiered in front of the Tasmanian business community at the Startup Tasmania Christmas Cocktail event, co-hosted by the Launceston Chamber of Commerce in December.
