Member survey 2014

In 2014 we're focusing on a new range of events and activities, adding to our already successful member activities including Startup Spring and its Bootcamp, GovHack and of course our presentations, workshops and talks.

This year we've made some important moves in ramping up our representation on the Tasmanian scene, by responding the StartupAus 'Crossroads' report on the Australian startup community, and working with them on their Startup Muster survey of 2014. Their new ambassador program has begun and we will be supporting Tasmanian volunteer ambassadors in all their endeavours.

Later this year we can also look forward again to our involvement in the Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival and the Tasmanian Action Day, which last year saw StartupTasmania contribute to an exciting discussion about smart futures for the Tasmanian economy. It also featured a workshop with Pozible founders, who offered participants free sessions on crowdfunding project ideas.

We are presently hatching initiatives with TasICT and ACSTas so make cross connections in the technology sector, and we are looking forward to widening our scope beyond technology to other sectors across the community where startups are active and thriving in Tasmania.

But this is just the start. We have taken our time to develop a solid platform of delivery for our members, so that we can concentrate on delivering practical, tangible benefits to our members and the startup community more widely in Tasmania. We also want to connect our members to other startups nationally and internationally in ways that are fruitful and energising.

To help us along this path, we would greatly appreciate your feedback on the StartupTasmania offering, your ideas for the future and any new initiatives you'd like to see us take up.

Please, if you could take the time to let us know where we can provide exactly what you want in your startup journey, we will endeavour to put together a range of member benefits that you will find exciting, engaging and truly helpful.

All data is anonymous and will not be shared with anyone else for anything else.

What role do you think StartupTasmania should play in helping fill those gaps?
