On Sunday the 27th of September, three makerspaces in Tasmania will be opening their doors to the public simultaneously from 10am to 4pm.
In Hobart, you can visit the Hobart Hackerspace, in Launceston, you can stop by the Battery Shed and in Burnie you can visit the brand new CollabLab.
At all three locations you'll learn about electronics, virtual reality, gesture-based interfaces, 3D printing, rapid prototyping and advanced manufacturing and will have the chance to check out demos of projects that members of these communities have been working on, including collaborative projects with CSIRO, UTAS and QVMAG.
Every space has its own flavour, but one thing is for sure, you'll have a blast no matter which one you visit.
